RELEASE OF NEW APPLET SITE FOR WEB DEVELOPERS

Gothenburg, Sweden - Entanke today announced the release of a new applet series at www.AcuteApplets.com. Previous series have sold to more than 50 countries, but the new one is free for both commercial and private use.

Entanke has produced numerous web applets over the last years. Using all the knowledge and experience gained, they have now created the ultimate web scroller applet, adding commonly requested features using a very compact design. The result is an 11-kb single-file applet supporting free formatted text including images, rules and links.

AcuteApplets also introduces features not available elsewhere. For example, the layout can be separated from the message using a technique similar to style sheets. This makes it easy to update the message without disturbing the page layout.

Another new feature is the ability to control the applets using JavaScript. With AcuteApplets you can make a context sensitive help box that displays information depending on the user action. Anything from menus to forms can trigger the applet to change message and/or layout.

With this first release of AcuteApplets, Entanke has established a platform for future development, and even more applets are planned. The platform includes a very compact parser and layout engine as well as comprehensive examples, tutorials and documentation.
